Platte River #2

This is another painting taken from the Platte River at Rochester Falls.  The colors were beautiful that autumn and I fell in love with the colors reflected in the water.
This is a larger pastel painting  (20x14) on pastel board and executed entirely in PanPastel.  It is triple matted and framed.
 $320. Giclee prints Available.

Stag in Winter

This is another painting where I took great liberty with the colors of snow.  It's a misty morning and this proud stag is pausing at trail side before venturing out into the open.
This is a pastel painting (16x12), triple matted and framed.  SOLD. Giclee prints Available.

Over the River

I've been intrigued lately by the colors of snow in the half light.  We think of snow as white, but it's rarely so. Like water, it reflects its surroundings. This little bridge across a half-frozen stream was just the setting for a joyful play on colors. This is a pastel painting on Wallis paper(14x11). Triple matted and framed.
 $185. Giclee prints Available.SOLD

Waiting for Snow

People kept asking for winter scenes so I came up with this one for a pastel class I taught in December. The cardinal posed on the back deck in exchange for a handful of sunflower seeds.    This is a pastel painting (11x14) on Wallis paper, double matted and framed.  $225. Giclee prints Available.

Winter's Edge

A friend of mine gave me the photograph that was the inspiration for this painting.  It reminded me of early morning duck hunting so I added in ducks.

This is a pastel painting (11x15) on Wallis paper, triple matted and framed. $225. Giclee prints Available.
