Against the Wind

This is a quick bow to a lovely older woman who saw my paintings in a gallery last November and asked, 'Why don't you put sailboats on your lakes?'
     This pastel painting is 12x16.
Currently on display at A Piece of Work, Inc., Spirit Lake, IA.

Admired from Afar

This mature red stag calls out for love - not realizing that he is already being admired from afar. Can you see her?
This is a larger pastel painting (13x19), triple matted and framed.
Currently on display at  A Piece of Work, Inc., Spirit Lake, IA.

It is triple matted and framed.

The Blue Gate

My husband and I own 50 acres in northwest Missouri.  I have always loved the interplay of that sky-blue gate against the beautiful rusts and browns of the fall foliage.  Last fall I finally caught that on film.
This is a medium sized pastel painting on Wallis paper inspired by that photo.  Like all my paintings, it is triple matted and framed.
    SOLD.

Crashing Water

This painting is inspired by a photo I took while pack packing in Glacier National Park.
This is a small pastel painting, only 12"x9", but evokes wonderful memories of vast majesty of the park at the trail approaches the Continental Divide.
Triple matted and framed behind museum glass. $110.

Canoe Waters

I love the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota.  I've spent several weeks there, two of those weeks were solo trips and all those weeks were wonderful.  This pastel painting on Wallis Paper reminds me of those quiet times and the sound of loons across the water.
This painting is small, just 9x12 inches, but it evokes a big sense of peacefulness to me.
Triple matted and framed behind museum glass. $110.
